I think I've created a certain mold for myself on this platform as a doomsayer, a chicken little as it were. As a conspiracy theorist I would like to elaborate on why I believe what I believe not to convince or persuade you but to give you context for my online persona. Forgive me if I'm wrong in my evaluation but from what I can see most people who have an interest in cryptocurrencies are at the very least out of the box thinkers. Non conformists if you will. My fellow cyberpunks let me layout the future dystopia as I foresee it. Have you heard these terms before; the Great Reset, the 4th Industrial Revolution, Agenda 22? I won't go into detail but the gist of it is the global elite consolidate every single resource in the world by automation and the middle class is completely annihilated and the 99% are brought to poverty through lost of private ownership and many other tyrannical machinations that are so invasive to privacy and self-autonomy. Why am I so sure this will happen? There are only two things in life that are certain death and taxes!
When the internet was created it was a marvel of innovation the connection of networks and in the early days as Snowden explains in his book it was the wild west were a young boy was on the same level with adult programmers of his time for the capacity to learn and be on equal footing with his peers. When the powers that be saw the lost of their control with this new innovation what did they do to consolidate their power they centralized it. They acquired the most popular platforms and funneled most of the traffic through them. They modeled these platforms to represent what they wanted and so changed them from their creator's initial incarnation. Now these platforms acted as a medium to shape perception of the populace through fake news, a hallowed existence based on an algorithm for profit not for an individual's well-being.
Centralization is also my critic on the cryptocurrency market as well. The fact that the whole of cryptocurrencies are bottle-necked to Bitcoin and Ethereum is a problem. I don't claim to be an expert on sidechains, oracles and the rest of the overwhelming information that is available on cryptocurrencies but the freedoms that we are allowed today with regulation may not exist in the future where our Orwellen dystopia awaits. Look what China is doing with the initiation of their Central Bank Digital Currency, a lottery of the new currency in their populated metropolises and the banning of cryptocurrencies or any other medium of exchange that is not their CBDC. Nobody can stop it the network it's too well fortified. That may be true but how benevolent do you expect China to be with a controlling interest in the network that goes against the digital yuan. Decentralization goes against what government mean to do; control the people. They made an example of Ross Ulbrich because the Silk Road offered a black market that used cryptocurrency to bypass the current system. The very idea of it was a danger to the establish order. The whole market of cryptocurrency was centralized when fiat printing was allowed with Tether and what the stablecoin represents which is US dollar the world's reserve currency.
You give Too much power to your Enemy
It's a deep rabbit hole and an ugly one to expose yourself to the machinations of the elite. The plan can be liken to the mythological beast of the hydra it is not dependent on one person or group but moves forward through many generations of people. I don't even know who the shadow players are and even if I did what could I do myself against it. No these things are out of my control, I need the wisdom to accept what I cannot control, the courage to change the things I can and to know the difference between them. Financial collapse how do I insulate myself from the impending situation? Wealth preservation into alternative avenues other then fiat currencies. Or maybe just maybe stop worrying about an abstract concept your just an everyday normal guy not some snake oil salesmen that has made his fortune off the backs of the poor. Is it not folly to save money now before it is devalued in the future, convert to what holds value then convert it back at your convenience? The days of the 2017 bitcoin millionaires are over; there won't be traditional banks in the future to convert your BTC to fiat. The future banks will be an E-coin app on your phone to represent your country's digital fiat currency and if you think your gov't will give you options to bypass it well give me some of that kool-aid son! I don't get off shitting on crypto, I love what they represent freedom, autonomy, trust but these are concepts I wouldn't apply to people who have an interest in controlling other people. First things first what do you need?
"It's ruinous for the soul to be anxious about the future and miserable in advance of misery, engulfed by anxiety that the things it desires might remain it's own until the very end. For such a soul will never be at rest - by longing for things to come it will lose the ability to enjoy present things." - Seneca
"Don't let your reflection on the whole sweep of life crush you. Don't fill your mind will all the bad things that might still happen. Stay focused on the present situation and ask yourself why it's so unbearable and can't be survived." - Unknown
"Until we have begun to go without them, we fail to realize how unnecessary many things are. We've been using them not because we needed them but because we had them." - Lucilius
"If you apply yourself to the task before you, following the right reason seriously, vigorously, calmly, without allowing anything else to distract you, but keeping your divine part pure, as if you might be bound to give it back immediately; if you hold this, expecting nothing, fearing nothing but satisfied with your present activities according to nature, and with heroic truth in every word and sound, which you utter, you will live happily. And there is no man who is able to prevent this." - Marcus Aurelius
Adopting stoic philosophy is necessary for me to keep my focus. Money and it's acquisition are not the end goal it is a tool to accomplish my goals. Possessions too are not my goal they are only useful if they advance me to my ultimate purpose. I look for sustainability in a uncertain world but my faith is not in my ability or talents to navigate myself to a desired outcome but that I don't lose my humanity when madness surrounds me. Concerning crypto I will take my profits to buy things that will benefit me today not for the future.
