The health care situation is very complicated in several countries around the world. The good health of citizens, which should be one of the fundamental things in life, has become a market, in which the focus is no longer on keeping the patient well, but on increasing profit. And the problem has spread beyond hospitals that treat last-level problems, but to day-to-day consultations, where instead of prescribing cheap medicines or long-lasting solutions, it seems that the objective is to keep the patient alive, but continuing with the problem, which causes them to spend much longer on maintaining their health than would otherwise be necessary.
Have you ever imagined what this scenario will be like with the arrival of AIs? One of the premises of this technology is that it will replace several functions, and one thing is a fact, in a time of need being attended to by a robot instead of a human being who can understand, at least a little, it will be something very difficult for any patient. This goes to show that no matter how bad the situation is, there is always room for it to get worse. The question that remains is: Is it possible to improve and for people to be able to pay the costs of healthcare?
I'll be much appreaciated if you Votes, Reblogs or give any Tips. Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
Can People afford the costs of HEALTHCARE?
When talking about healthcare costs, it is worth mentioning that in some countries, governments have implemented a system to help their population's health. An example of something along these lines is in the United States, which has a federal health insurance program called Medicare, which covers some hospital expenses that a person may incur. There's one detail, this program only comes into effect around the age of 65 and for people who have some specific problems.
This means that the rest of the population ends up having to find some way to pay for their health care. What countries have not understood is that their population is the engine that makes the nation turn and a healthy population can produce more and for longer. If doctors and hospitals fail to treat younger patients who have a problem or fail to carry out preventive procedures, in the future they will not be able to perform their functions for society with the same efficiency, because they will be in pain, heart problems, illnesses, which could have been avoided if they had received average assistance.
Even for a society focused on profit and capital, if analyzed from the point of view of efficiency, it is much cheaper to prevent a problem than to let it worsen and have to deal with it in the future. For people, the best thing to do is to try to improve their health to prevent as many problems as possible, by doing physical exercise, eating a good diet and seeking advice on how to improve their health from professionals. Think of yourself as a company, the better your health is, the less problems you will have in your production, just don't forget to do maintenance and adjustments from time to time. It's curious that sometimes people care more about their possessions than themselves.
