This article is a bit different. It will mostly talk about walking and just a tiny bit about crypto.
Why walk?
You always have to decide first what you want to achieve and how many kilos you would like to lose. For a long-term loss of excess body weight without the "yo-yo" effect, it is recommended to lose weight slowly - it is not recommended to lose more than half a kilogram per week.
By fulfilling the daily goal of 10,000 steps a day, we do between 30 and 45 minutes of exercise and burn from 2,000 to 3,500 additional calories per week.
Walking just to lose weight will not work!
But will we lose weight this way?
By walking 10,000 steps a day, we also burn a certain number of calories, which is still not enough for successful weight loss. We also need to add weight training two to three times a week and a smart diet plan that will satisfy the body's macro needs.
But it will help!
If we set this kind of tangible goal on our smartphone or watch, it can be an additional motivation to, for example, park our car a block away from the shopping center or go to the fifth floor on foot instead of taking the elevator. And when it becomes a habit, it naturally shows itself in the body, well-being and health.
Walk for yourself.
Walking is truly universal and the most basic form of movement. Especially walking on softer ground (grass, earth, sand), because this form of movement is kind to the joints, which are already overwhelmed by your weight.
The goal of 10,000 steps a day may be too ambitious, so I warn that goals must be set realistically, based on current capabilities and abilities, and then adjusted on the fly. Only in this way will the goal be realistically achievable and one will not give up in the middle of the journey.
I walk anywhere between 8000-10000 steps per day. To be honest – I’m still a bit overweight, because I eat too much. Damn.
