C S Lewis

C. S. Lewis was a British author that most people remember for writing the book "Chronicles of Narnia" and for his other books Christianity including the classic "Mere Christianity". He is often praised for his literally skills and his profound insight into the nature of faith, love and so much more.

But my favourite quote atributted to him is probably this one I read at The berean call- "If minds are wholly dependent on brains and brains on biochemistry, and biochemistry (in the long run) on the meaningless flux of the atoms, I cannot understand how the thought of those minds should have any more significance than the sound of the wind in the trees." It is such an impactful statement that I am feel nothing I say after this has anymore significance until and unless we agree with that fundamentally simple yet deep sentence. Because even the search for a meaning is meaningless and all our efforts futile if it is just a simple physical or biochemical or physiological function. No amount of word play would be enough to justify a belief in evolution as opposed to special creation as mentioned in the Bible. This is additon to the other plentiful evidence that God has provided us, is sufficient to believe in his existence and give him praise.

Anyway that's just my two cents on the subject.

Cheers.
