TPL Review - SHIBA Eternity (game)

Today we are going to talk about Shiba Eternity. It is a game based around the SHIBA dog that is used for the SHIBA INU cryptocurrency. Now before we get to far into this review I want to make something very clear. I have not found any way to actually use/earn/burn SHIBA INU from within the game. To the best of my ability the game is purely just a card game based around the Cryptocurrencies lore. Now with that out of the way lets get into the game.

What is it?

Think of this game a collectible card game. I wouldn't call it a Trading Card Game because well you can't really trade the cards haha. But the premise is the same as most other card games. You have a deck of cards. Some of the cards are Warriors/Attackers/Defensive whatever type cards. Then there are others that are Spells

You take turns with your opponents playing those spell cards or attacking cards. Each team (Shiba avatar) starts with 30 health and when you get your opponent's down to zero then you win.

How do you play?

It is quite easy. You start a battle and an opponent will be found. A coin flip happens and you will be 1st or 2nd.

Each card costs 'mana' type of energy and you start off with 1 mana in the first turn then 2 in the second and so on and so on. The person who starts the game gets to pick 3 cards (out of 5 presented) to start with while player #2 gets to pick 4 out of the 5 presented to try to even out the odds.

Each attacking card you put in the playing field will have a health and an attack power. Some cards will allow you to attack the opponent Shiba directly even if the opponent has cards in play so it's something to keep in mind when playing.

If you win a game you will get a chest. The normal crappy chest takes 4 hours to unlock and will contain around 3 cards and some 'kibble'. Kibble is used as sort of an in-game currency. You can unlock chests early by spending Kibble

By my count you have up to 12 Shiboshi's which are the little dog avatars that lead your decks. What is nice though is you can battle with multiple and each Shiboshi can hold up to 3 chests. So in theory you could have 36 chests waiting to be opened.

Do you recommend it?

I am going to start with the 2 critiques that I have with the game first.

1) It takes a very long time to open each time and I am playing on decent phones too, (Google Pixel 4a 5G and a Samsung S22). I timed it just now and it took 43 seconds to load to the main screen. Once you are in the game though it is super smooth.

2) I can't find any way that SHIBA INU (the cryptocurrency) integrates with the game. There are in app purchases but on my Android phones you can only use Google Play to purchase them. I wish there was a way to maybe send over SHIBA INU into like a in game wallet and it let's you maybe purchase more chest slots or cosmetic items with it. That would be super slick,

Now with those 2 negatives out of the way let's get into if I recommend it. TL&DR = yes, I enjoy the game and will keep playing it.

This is one of those games that are perfect to play on the bus or while visiting the bathroom/loo. The graphics are slick and smooth. The Animations are nice and the gameplay is also great. Now to be fair the developers have a lot of other card games to copy at this point so I wouldn't expect any less.
