Playing the Margins - Driving Crypto Growth

Trading has been slow for the last couple of months since the highs of late August and while numbers have rallied recently, with the exception of BitCoin and related Coins and a short lived shift in Ethereum there has been little sign of any upward movement. BATs aren’t really moving. Augur has just about shown that it still has a pulse and Cosmos’ star continues to fall. TEZOs are still cycling down and at a low of £1.50 it is hard to tell whether they have yet bottomed out. They seemed to rally after a low of £1.61 but then they fell again so who knows when the downward cycle will end?

The worst thing is that most of my portfolio is tied up in falling currencies and I absolutely doggedly refuse to sustain losses even if I have to hodl the hell out them for the foreseeable future. At least they are all staking I constantly reassure myself; but their net value is still plummenting at a rate that is far in excess of any acquired staking rewards. This means I am still overall down, but it looks like I will see a slight improvement on the value of my portfolio today which i always compare ao and end of month on month.

This has been facilitated by the release of about 25% of my funds thanks to the surge in BitCoin which means as I have stated in a previous post that at least this element is performing according to September / October prices. What is more I have been to make a series of micro-trades on a number of fluctuations. Just today a such a sequence has yielded a 3.4% gain by playing DAI off Yearn.Finance and BitCoin. Maybe I should have held, but my desire was to get a bit of profit and begin to drag my portfolio around into an upward direction.

Stabilising profits in DAI means that it won’t move around too much and it is staking too so it's only direction is upwards.

This is a small achievement but in one day I have at least roughly matched the annual inflation rate which makes it more than worthwhile. I am using one of the principles that I discussed in an earlier post where with DAI both the value and amount of held.

Profit comes from offsetting prices against each other, but nowadays I am driving more and more to release my profits into stablecoin, which are then subsequently being staked.

I talked recently about the dawn breaking, after so many false dawns and while thing have not being picking up as much as expected there is a chink peaking through, but at least it’s light as opposed to darkness.
