This is a heartfelt post and especially to my American friends.

A little while back Kyle Gass – the little fat bald guy from Tenacious D – effectively got the band banned for an inappropriate one-liner about the “assassination” attempt on Donald Trump. Of course I am not advocating what he jokingly suggested, but I just wonder how many people are now lining up with what Kyle said.

The bottom line is that Trump has to be stopped.

We may have thought he was sabre-rattling and in some ways doing some good when he made a difference in Gaza – despite the fact that he just sees it as a seafront ripe for development. He got it wrong on meeting Putin who should have remained internationally isolated after attacking Ukraine. Bombing the nuclear facility in Iran was also tolerated but we were all somewhat surprised by his operation in Venezuela – which was when everything changed.

So Mr Trump (and btw your name in British English is a childish word for a fart – seems about right!) I now address you directly

And now you have your eyes on Greenland, an autonomous island that belongs to Denmark who is a fellow Nato ally. You claim that you need it to secure the North Atlantic, but that is where Canada comes in as a second line of defence – assuming that Greenland is even reachable and conquerable by a hostile power.

Wouldn't it be ironic if Denmark / Greenland feel so threatened by you that they reach out to China for their security? That could be the most spectacular shooting yourself in the foot in history!

I remind you that Canada was your friend you f**king idiot until you started treating it like s**t. Your perceived threat from Russia and China is at best naive and ill-conceived at worst blatantly expansionism and a wish to dominate the Americas.

And so were your European allies and now you impose additional tariffs on them because they dare to stand with Denmark and Greenland who have the right to self-determination and may I remind you that this was a principle enshrined - although not 100% - by your illustrious predecessor President Woodrow Wilson, a principle which has helped preserve the peace in Europe even though it took us another World War to get there.

Come on be real. If you were friendly, the Greenlanders would probably be more than tolerant of you placing your military bases on their territory in the name of collective security, but that is not what you have your eyes on is it you greedy b**tard! You are trying to screw Ukraine over with the same mortgaging of their future over rare earth minerals.

It is called Colonisation and Empire Building and that is so 2 centuries ago and as the experience of the Europeans has proven it is totally wrong and can never be justified.

Putin must be rubbing his hands in glee as the US carves a big chasm between itself and the rest of Nato. Maybe that is what you are after, creating such an intolerable schism that there is no way back.

Suddenly, I am reminded of what a captive ISIS fighter said to Sky News several years ago and I paraphrase. “We thought we were creating Allah’s paradise on earth, but all we did was declare war on the whole world”.

Sound familiar?

I remind you Denmark is a long standing-ally, as are the others you are screwing with. Britain has stood by you through thick and thin even at heavy cost to themselves.

And you are no different to other warmongers who talk peace while escalating tension and conflict wherever you cast your eyes. Just yesterday you said that those who oppose your moves towards Greenland “threaten world peace.” There is only one person carrying out threats here. We saw a foreshadowing when you said the same to Zelenskyy last year – “You aren’t holding any cards, you are toying with World War III.” I remind you that Zelenskyy is not the aggressor in that particular war.

Heir Hitler used to demand and threaten with war when he didn’t get what he wanted and until Poland he got what he wanted – that was called appeasement and it is considered to be among the most shameful things ever done in international affairs.

So when you speak of peace and back it up with threats who is the aggressor?

Greenland is just a peaceful, sparsely populated, but huge, island whose landmass is more than enough to protect your flank from (imaginary) threats and like I said even if some hostile force (which means somehow navigating past Alaska and Northern Canada or alternatively getting across the Atlantic under the noses of a whole host of friendly nations) does succeed you are still buffered by Canada.

There is no threat coming that way!

At least with Putin it can be seen that he is trying to further Russia’s interests in its own backyard. It doesn’t mean that he is right, but there is a certain logic to what he is attempting to do. Mr Trump on the other hand you are erratic chaotic and an imperialist without restraint. Hegseth’s “America first” speech after Venezuela reminded me of another speech.

Before us lies Deutschland, within us marches Deutschland, and after us comes Deutschland!

Now I wonder who could have said that.

I know many Americans, a lot of whom I count as friends, of differing political creeds and racial backgrounds and none of the people I know would align with this. This is not America, this is Trump, ego and 19th century gunboat diplomacy at its worst and nothing more!

These are dangerous times my friends and the emerging danger no longer seems to be Putin with his stripped bare war machine and exhausted economy, rather an American loudmouth who has nothing better to do.

Nobel Peace Prize – you are even less suitable than Putin for that particular prize although I could name a few that you thoroughly deserve..
