Just wrote this is response to a question I was asked earlier and thought it might be worth of sharing in its own right as a post. Please note I have included a link to the article I referred to in the post.

Celsius - ? what is this currency or deposit, please explain

And this was my answer:

Celsius Network is a crypto platform that specialises in providing crypto loans to clients. To source these loans they offer high reward rates for clients who stake with them. High rates are particularly applicable to their native CEL coins and Stablecoins such DAI, Tether and USDT.

Just in case you have any concerns I have been able to both deposit and withdraw crypto from their platform. In all cases this was between Celsius and Coinbase.

However, a note of caution. Do not try to convert from one crypto to another within the platform because gas fees are astronomical. You are better off taking it off Celsius, converting it and then putting it back in the new currency.

Celsius does not have desktop functionality and only works as a mobile app so you will need to do a download.

Like I said the most important thing is that I have successfully managed to do both deposits and withdrawals and have received weekly rewards since I started with them. When you do deposit though to make money you need to make sure you at the very least make back the gas fees - I wrote an article on this recently so please check my blog.

Incidentally, I am actually just thinking there might be a work around to get Celsius to work on a computer - just give me some time on this.
