I may have missed the post or notification, but I think it was about three weeks ago when I came across an extra freebie from our wonderful Publish0x. I know that sound sycophantic, but over the years I literally have ZERO reasons to complain. I did lose some currency once, but I now think that was down to a Clipper Virus that had got on my system after clicking to download SLICE from a PTC advert. In doing so I broke one of my cardinal rules, never to trust any advert on any Faucet / Free Crypto site. I wrote about it as soon as I discovered I had it, and in fact it was Igor (of the P0x Team) who provided the solution.
Can't get better than that!
Anyway, I while back I was one of many who was asked to test the new Beta-Publish0x App and I was glad to help (the $10 reward in USDC was also a good incentive). So I duly downloaded it and used it for a while just to help the app get established, but I rarely use it owing to the fact that it is actually more comfortable for me to access P0x on my computer and especially due to ongoing issues with my Trigger Finger which, while significantly better after some injections, still fatigue and stiffen up when using my phone.
However, when I was traveling, for convenience, I switched my log in to my mobile for publishing pre-written articles (you might recall I did this before our holiday on the Baltic coast for example - the Kosovo Adventures) and used the app for tipping.
It wasn't during the holiday, but during my more recent trip to England that I discovered that everything had been reorganised and the home page no longer displayed the USDC balance (that has been shifted to Settings). Instead the new landing page had two buttons taking pride of place Instant Pass and Free Pass.
For the Instant Pass you have to view an advert, but it is usually one of those nine piece jigsaw puzzles that you have to slide into place to unlock P0x posts. For the Free Pass, this step is skipped. Once you have access to the posts you choose and read one and then click Claim reward at the bottom of the page.
I assume the author of the post also receives a little something.
This activates a wheel that auto-rolls and some bonus USDC is added to your account. It is, as expected, a micro amount, but every little helps. I have yet to determine how often it can be utilised in a day, but it is pretty frequent. Each time it is used, Free or Instant, the timer resets, but this is no different to P0x's standard approach to tipping. It is the frequency that makes it worthwhile.
It works independently of the regular tipping and therefore it really can be taken as an extra boon from P0x. I would therefore recommend downloading the app if you haven't already got it and if you have start using it!
One little thing I would add, in the form of constructive criticism for the P0x Team, is that with very little variation the list of unlocked articles is very static, unlike the main Latest Posts page and therefore it means the same authors - assuming they are rewarded too - are reaping the greatest benefit. Maybe the algorithm can be adjusted so it is more like the Latest Posts page, or even take a thematic approach based on tags, eg, Cryptocurrency, Crypto News, Health etc.
