eVTOL update

I felt it was time to provide an update on eVTOL as it’s been quite a while since I have written bout it this topic.  Today I bring you two eVTOL vendors to discuss, Eve and Pivitol.  The last article I wrote was on Superbike's which technically isn't eVTOL, but you can find my last true eVTOL update here which was written in July 2024.

Eve Air Mobility ("Eve")

Eve is a global leader in the development of next-generation electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) solutions. I say leader because they have secured $150 million in debt financing from a syndicate of large financial institutions.  Eve is already available as a public company in the USA find it under the NYSE ticker EVEX.

Eve Air Mobility continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the United States' Urban Air Mobility ecosystem. With a growing network of suppliers, customers, and strategic partners they are expected to be THE Urban Air Mobility (UAM) leader.

Their website shows lots of great information in/around cities they are already have presence in:

• Miami, FL 
• South Africa
• Sydney, AU

It also calculates C02 savings from congestion avoidance and many other facets of their approach to Air Mobility.

Pivitol

Pivitol develops lightweight eVTOL aircraft, you might have known then under their former name of Opener.  Their first to sale product is called Pivitol Helix.  You better sit down before you read the next part when I jump into price. 

Pivitol’s Helix is avail for $190,000 and for that you get a single seat transportation device.  Prior to flights, you must get trained they have a proposed training program too.   Pivitol already have 50 trained pilots already. Are you up next?

Perhaps you have safety concerns? No worries, the Helix is already fully AS9100D safety rated.

Summary

I believe the eVTOL is evolving into a game changer for the 1%. I see cost being the inhibitor in the personal craft arena. All designed to fly above the plebs stuck in vehicular traffic jams while they see a whole new world. Cool stuff, come back as I will update you more on eVTOL and UAM. No worries I am already used to be stuck in traffic where the view doesn't change, much.
