Review : Pro and cons of windows and linux

Introdution:

Hey guys welcome to this new article in this we are gonna see the pros and cons of using linux as a main os in 2021 and will guide you through some of the most secure and light weight linux distros . Although linux is already much secure but still there are many distros that have preinstalled security enchancing softwares. So lets get into it.

Using linux vs using windows

Linux:

Pros:

Its open source hence no license is required to use it and is publically available on the internet.
Installation is much easy due to live mode . Before installation the user can test the os by using other applications that are in live mode. and if he feels he can use this distro he can continue other wise he can turn off live mode and try other distros.
Security - linux is more secure than any other os but is not fully safe from malware but have mora security than windows or any other os
Smooth Operations - It runs very smoothly in older machines also as it utilizes less resources almost 500 mb which is a very less usage where as windows.

Cons:

Ui is bit harder than other os.
Most of the softwares now adays don't support linux .
Linux uses grub hence if the grub loader corrups than the pc will be not run.
If someone wants to move back to windows from linux it is a bit harder as there are very few bootable disk maker softwares for linux.

Windows:

Pros:

Its gui is most better for beginners to understand.
Almost all softwares support windows.
It have easy to remember commands in terminal.
Windows uses boot loader hence if the os gets corrupted you can easily reinstall windows using any cd or dvd or usb drive.

Cons:

It utilizes much resources than linux.
It cannot run in old computers .
The system lags alot if the installed memory is low.
Windows is more vulnerable as compared to linux i.e viruses and hacks can be installed into the system more quickly than linux.
