Hello, everyone.
I had another visit to sea side village called Yeh Kuning. Yeh Kuning is Balinese words means yellow water. Long long time ago, according to a local legend there was a big pond somewhere in the village where yellow crocodiles lived. As time went by, there were more and more people living in this village and crocodiles moved somewhere I else.
Yeh Kuning village is located by the sea. During the sun set time, people come to visit the beach this. I happened to be by the sea side walking on the sand when I saw a lot of people gathering in one spot by the beach.
Children, youngsters, men and women flocking toward the sea. I quickly walked to see what they were doing.
Some people were by the sea side waiting for the fishing net to be pulled out of the water.
There were children picked up fish from the long net.
People gathered around the fishing net to see what fish were caught.
the fish were poured to the styro foam box.
It seem that there some fisherman who were puling a fish net from the water. It was a decent size of net that there about 5 people pulling the net from the sea. The fishermen must have casted this long net in the water before. At that moment was the time they pulled it to harvest the fish which were caught on the net.
It took some minutes before they managed to get the fish out of the net and poured them into a box. It was a styrofoam box prepared to put all the fish into. It was mostly quite small fish, since it's only by the side. According to the fishermen, they could get bigger fish when they sail in the sea. When it is only casting by the sea shore, usually they would get smaller fish.
This styrofoam box was then trasnported by a man at the back of a motor bike.
Finally, I understand why there were so many people flocking around the net. The owner of the net let them taking the remain of the fish that were still on the fishing net. So, they raced to get as many fish from the net. It was like an unwritten rules, you could take the remaining fish from the net once the main catch has been taken by the owner.
The people collected the remaining fish from the net.
A man showed one of the catch, a puffer fish.
Hmm, I could also join the joy of these people and grab some fish, but I did not do it. But I decided not to because if I took some it would be less fish for them. 😁
In another part of the shore, there were boats pushed to the sea. The fishermen were getting ready to sail to catch fish during the night. Probably they would go back home to morrow morning to their family who's waiting for them at home.
Some fishermen pushed their boat the the sea.
