Yeh Leh village, located by sea side, is a stop over place for people who travel from east to west Bali (vice versa). It was a place where people stop over for a moment by the road side, to enjoy the sea view. After some years, a statue of a man riding a chariot pulled by two buffaloes were built. Some food and coffee shops were open that people can spend more time there.

I stopped there yesterday on my way from Denpasar (Middle Bali) to Negara (West Bali). Stopping by the road side , I took a little walk along the pavement.

While walking, I saw the beach before me. This beach was a bit different because it barely had black sand. Instead, it had a lot of small rocks.

As usual I saw some people fishing by the beach. It seems that where ever I go in the beach in the west Bali, I would see people fishing. It is a popular hobby, I guess.

Next, there was the statue of "mekepung" or the buffalo chariot. A tradition of buffalo race is held in west Bali villages every harvest time. In every race, there are two charriots. These chariot comes from different villages. Why there are only two chariots competing? Because the race is conducted in a narrow road among the rice fields. Some times, some of the chariots ended up in the muddy field when the racers lost their control.

After checking the chariot statues, I walked again for some time along the pavement and took few more photos. It was a very serene place. The area was quite lush with many trees nearby. Along with that some local birds like sparrow could be seen in trees.

Some people, stopped and parked their motor cycle and began taking photos. Few minutes later, they left. Some stayed longer time, they found places for them to sit down in the pavement, or going to the coffee stalls.

Although there is much improvement in Yeh Leh village, I could see that there more room for development. For example, parking area should be expanded, attraction should be added. Just my cup of tea.
