Before you put a name to a project you have in mind, it's best to Google it first, as it may have some legal problems for you

The same thing happened to the Hive project, which was the last to fall for opting for a new chain of blocks for fear that Justin would take over Steem.

However, now the guys from hive.io when they put this name to this new project, have been involved in a crusade with another company by having the same name

HIVE Blockchain Technologies Ltd, a Canadian company currently listed on the stock exchange, and last Monday, they issued a notice sending a cease and desist letter to the legal representatives of the new project

In response to this letter, the Company announces that it has no association whatsoever with this Blockchain, The other company in question said they have no choice but to protect all of their interests, and avoid any damage to their company's reputation

Do you think they should change the name of hive.io?

What legal aspects can lead to the new project not to change its current name?

 

On the one hand, I consider that they have done well, leaving aside steem, and changing everything completely, starting from zero taking with them a large number of steemit portfolios, to their new project and make it evolve

Only time will tell what will happen with the new platform, and I hope, and I'm sure many hope, that the HIVE chain of blocks can and will have the same success or more, as steemit had at the time
