An open book on a wooden table.

Exam stress is one of the most common problems that all students struggle with. Although this stress is natural, it can ruin our performance. In this article, I want to share with you 5 simple but effective solutions that have helped me too ...

(5 simple solutions):

1. Deep and mindful breathing:

When we feel anxious, our heart rate increases. A simple technique is to breathe in for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, and breathe out slowly for 4 seconds. This calms the nervous system. (Inhale and exhale)

2. Plan and avoid studying the night before the exam:

Studying the night before the exam is the biggest source of stress. If you divide the material into small parts and start a few weeks in advance, you will go to the exam more calmly.

3. Adequate sleep and proper nutrition:

Our body and brain need sleep to process information. Make sure to sleep 8 hours the night before the exam.  Also, eating a light and nutritious breakfast can keep your energy up during the meeting. For example, eggs, cheese and walnuts, dates...

4. Positive self-talk:

Instead of telling yourself "I can't", say "I have tried my best and will get the best result". Positive statements reduce fear. Always be positive

5. Movement and short breaks:

The brain needs a break after 45 minutes of studying. Get up for 10 minutes every hour, walk or drink a glass of water. This will multiply your concentration.

Conclusion:

Exam stress is completely natural, but it should not take control of our lives. By following these 5 simple tips, you can take exams with more peace and confidence. Believe in yourself! I myself passed most of my exams with excellent grades by following these tips
