Brave has the intention of adding passive mining to the Brave Browser.
This will allow users to mine BAT easily while they browse the internet.
The whole system will be centralised and will take place on Brave's own servers, lessening the actual strain on the computer system.
This will be a nice way to reward users who spend a lot of time on the internet. It will also be great for 9-5ers who have office computers and are online almost all day. They'll be able to add a lot more money to their income.
I wrote a post about it here. You can check that out if you're interested.
So what happens to BAT if Brave goes through with this decision?
Generally, more BAT will be introduced into the system.
But this increase in BAT numbers will be met with an increase in demand. This is because more creators and consumers will be incentivised to join the platform because of the obvious benefits.
More demand, met with more supply will keep the price of BAT at almost stable coin level, which is a good thing and a bad thing.
As a good thing, creators and consumers will be able to put a definite value on how much BAT they're able to earn in a month, and make their plans accordingly.
As a bad thing, people will only get what they work for. The whole aim of crypto in BAT will be defeated as the price is supposed to fluctuate to keep investors in the market.
That's my two cents on what will happen if Brave goes through with the decision.
