BAT will be a hard runner this coming alt season, period.
Bitcoin has been acting funny for a while now, and it hasn't really been following TA as well as it used to. Market structure is still intact, but there have been out of line movements here and there.
However, what the general trend for Bitcoin has been is consolidation, and that explains why alts have been running so hard.
But is there a way to get BAT for cheap before Bitcoin starts moving again? Let me answer that here.
In addition to the posts where I taught you how to increase your BAT earnings for free, you can equally accumulate BAT like the smart money does.
Most retail traders buy up a coin when it has shown signs of breaking out, but smart money generally buys up a coin when public interest is very low. In my case, I had been accumulating TFuel for about 6 months, slowly buying every dip while waiting for Bitcoin to shit the bed. Eventually, I had invested about 2BTC into it without being noticed in the order books, and I got 10BTC back for my efforts after it ran 5x. It did run to 6x, but I got out at 5x.
My point is, now is the time that the "dumb" money, or the retail traders are waiting for Bitcoin to shit the bed before they start buying. The trick is to buy up a coin, BAT in this case, when the public isn't taking much about it, like now.
I'm not saying you should go out right now and buy BAT, because it's not prime in its current state. But you should try to accumulate some when it starts looking good.
So when does it start looking good?
Here's how you'll know. Get a Bitcoin chart next to your BAT chart. You can use the "compare" tab in TradingView.
Watch how closely BAT and BTC are correlated. You'll see that BTC peaks way ahead of BAT, but BAT equally peaks sometime later.
Throw a 50 day MA on your chart, and buy BAT when:
- It tests the line and rejects, or
- It remains below the line
Buying above the line would be buying the breakout, and we don't do that here.
As long as it stays below the 50 day MA, buy and hold it till it closes above that line on the weekly. Then get ready for the fireworks.
Remember that this isn't financial advice, but if for some convoluted reason you decide that what I just wrote actually makes sense(because it does :D), make sure to back test this strategy before risking your quid on it.
