In one of my previous posts, I talked about some fun facts about Brendan Eich, the creator of the Brave Browser.
You can check that out here if you're interested.
But I thought that since we've checked him out, why not check out his creation?
So here we are!
Here are some of the most important things you need to know about the Brave Browser.
1. It is the only Browser that rewards users with actual money
Ok, hear me out on this one. I know your mind immediately went to CryptoTab Browser. But before you make any serious money with that thing, you must have built up a following of about 50 people, as well as suffered some serious strain on your laptop or desktop components.
With the Brave browser, you could make money on your phone even, all while using the internet like any normal person would.
Yes, the feature isn't available in every country yet. But Brave is expanding rapidly, and they recently just added Brave Rewards support to about 20 new countries including developing African countries. So that's a bonus, as you can expect your country to be listed sooner than later.
2. It is built on Chromium.
Have you ever wondered why the browser looks so similar to Chrome? Well, that's because it's built on Chromium, a platform developed to assist in building or mobile and desktop browsers. This platform was of course developed by Google.
Brendan Eich says he chose this route because he knows that most users coming to Brave would be coming from Chrome majorly.(Some people still use Internet Explorer, but I don't judge).
And this move has helped Brave reached 10 million monthly active users on mobile, as well as over 2 million active followers on Desktop.
3. It's the only browser with a dedicated cryptocurrency token
Most browsers find a way to reward their users, such as the opera browser which rewards users in Africa with free data just for using the browser(about 100MB a day of free data just for using the app).
But Brave is the only browser that gives it's users free crypto that has an actual monetary value. If you wanted to get the money from the browser in your hand, you could simply just send it to your Coinbase account, sell it for dollars and get it in your account. This is a great way of rewarding users.
Users who wish to get rich for free could also trade their crypto on an exchange for massive profits everyday.
4. It's the only browser that supports creators
Brave is the only browser that makes it easy for content creators to receive tips for their efforts. Users who have obtained some BAT for free while browsing their favourite sites can leave a one time tip, or can make the tip recurring at a particular time of the month.
This is a great way for content creators to become incentivised to continue creating great content.
So that's it! Those are the great features of the Brave Browser! Let me know what you think.
