Brave is encouraging paying attention. And that's a good thing.

I've been obsessed with the Brave Browser for a few weeks now.

I recently started holding BAT tokens myself about 3 weeks ago. Previously, I was converting them to BTC once I got them.

But I saw the error of my ways, and saw the potential of BAT. Therefore, I started holding it, and I recently used the 4% spike to almost double my holdings. You can see how I did that here.

But the reason I started all this is because of Brave's ideology.

You see, our attention spans are very low. I mean very very low.

Chances are you're probably not even going to read this whole post before you click away and look for something more interesting.

We're always searching for that thing that's more interesting. Always looking for what to occupy our time.

Imagine reading a webpage, and an ad pops up. No matter how much attention you were paying before, you would look at that pop up, thereby dividing your attention.

In fact, if the ad is good enough, you'd actually click away from what you were reading before, and you'd go to the ad placement.

It's a great way to know about new services, but you may never actually get to finish what you were reading.

If you're confused about what I mean, visit theverge with your ad blocker off.

Enter Brave. They remove and filter off all the bad ads. Even in YouTube videos. And they allow you to pay more attention to what you're reading.

It may seem like a minor detail, but paying more attention leads to more productivity, and hence you become a productivity machine basically.

You'd get more done faster and more efficiently. You'd finally be able to learn how to code python from YouTube. Or how to cook your favourite meal. All while being uninterrupted.

All because you blocked just one ad.

This is Brave's emo. And that's what makes BAT so special.
