Where does fascism begin?
Apparently with fascist thinking.
Here, yesterday, one (...) He told me, "You lost the election... You are a minority. Shut your mouth and get to work."
For some reason, this individual decided that freedom of speech and opinion were also put to the vote.
But elections do not give a license to shut up and abolish human rights. Or has the Constitution become an empty place?
History clearly shows that in Germany in the 1930s there were no gallows, concentration camps, or gas chambers, but the fascist mindset was already emerging that the minority should shut up and not criticize.
No, most of them did not demand repression at all. They did not consider themselves fascists and villains. They just decided that a minority doesn't have the right to vote. Gallows and concentration camps were only a matter of time. When the right to life was taken away from a minority, there was a simple excuse for this - it was their own fault, they just had to keep quiet and be with everyone.
Fascism does not begin with violence.
It begins with the majority's agreement on the need for violence.
Tough? But it's true.
They didn't become like this overnight. It lasted for years. They were warmed up, prepared, and washed. They didn't call for violence themselves, but when the violence happened, they already had a logical explanation for it. And they no longer had to strain their brains to critically comprehend the situation, propaganda explained everything to them. And in order not to torment themselves with morality, conscience and God's commandments, they simply accepted violence as the only correct position, as a necessary necessity for the sake of protection, for the sake of survival, for the sake of historical justice. And anyone who doubts this is a traitor. And God? And God, in their opinion, must certainly understand everything.
