However, it also makes sense to touch on the history of the conquest and colonization of Siberia, which Russians for some reason do not like to remember. For some reason, they believe that the indigenous peoples of Siberia voluntarily and joyfully came under the wing of the Russian Empire.
But no, there were quite a few bloody episodes, including the Russian-Indian War, when Alaska was still ours.
Although, of course, here you can come up with a version that these peoples have always hated Russians and the West turned them against us. And we were bringing them civilization and democracy.
