I want to share with you that I passed all the tests and moved on to level 4 in learning English. And just for this event, I want to tell you how in California (I'm not going to write for the whole of America anymore, otherwise they'll come running and start writing that I'm "NOT LYING") you can study for free.
There is a community college in every district where you can study English and some other specialties for free. How do I get there? You type the district community college in the search and apply there online, you can also go there or call. After you submit your application, you join the queue. And as soon as it's your turn, you'll get a call. I joined the queue in September 2022 and got a call back in October. You can study online, or you can study in person, which means coming to lessons. Both have their advantages. If you go to classes, have live communication, make friends from different countries. If you study online, then you sleep until the last minute, like me. You get up with your eyes closed and join the lesson, drink coffee. Fry scrambled eggs during the lesson. If you study online, you also get to know each other, create chats in the whats app, go on picnics, and more. Before studying, you take a test that determines your level of English proficiency. I was identified as zero.
Yes, I started studying at level 0 and now I'm moving on to level 4. Every semester ends with tests: written, oral and grammar. By passing them, you move to a higher level. If you don't pass, you stay on the previous one. You can take breaks and relax. For example, this summer I'm going to take a break and take 4 levels starting in the fall. There are only 5 levels, after which I can get a diploma and go on to study. Each semester, you take another test at the college itself, where you are given a free textbook. You have all the materials for the lessons online. Each student has his own phone number and account through which he has access to educational materials, any kind of assistance, including receiving, again, food, scholarships, kindergarten during lessons, if there are young children and when applying for a job. If you do not have the means to access the network from the Internet, they also help with this: they give out laptops and pay for the Internet. And again, everything is for people.
God has given man freedom of choice. And no other person has the right to take it away from you. I remain free and wish you all the same, to be free!
