In this post, I want to talk about the influence of Russian bot farms on Western democracies. Well, and not only Western ones. Let's talk about AI bots and Russian propaganda.
In the 21st century, election interference takes on a new and insidious form: the use of AI bots to spread subliminal messages. Russian AI bots flood social media with carefully crafted messages that subtly influence our thoughts and opinions. They use techniques such as repetition, reinforcement, and association to sow seeds of doubt and division in people's minds.
People get worked up, people return to isolationist ideas.
In this post, I will talk about the dangers of Russian AI bot interference and explain how it is used to manipulate the collective unconscious. Propaganda people in the US and EU are influenced by AI-generated mental messages that turn elections into populist candidates.
This post is important for anyone who cares about freedom and democracy. We must be aware of the threat posed by Russian AI bots and take steps to protect ourselves from their influence.

Many European countries are trying to resist propaganda from outside, for example: Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia, Poland. Probably, someone remembers the showdowns that took place because of grain deals. In the USA, there are splits within political parties. Why does this happen, what is the matter and where does it come from? I studied Soviet history of the 80s, I witnessed Russian history of the 90s. The USSR was a master of propaganda, where they did many things incorrectly or too well. For example, in the USSR they destroyed real religion, apoliticized the population, where everyone was "outside of politics", the country had very effective propaganda, which worked very well and proved itself on the people of Russia. Therefore, why not use these techniques on the people of the West? Moreover, it would seem that the West is better protected from the influence of propaganda, having a transparent press and media. But Russia uses artificial intelligence, endless farms of AI bots, spam bots that work and are discussed in social networks, influencing people's minds. And the influence on the minds of the West is not only on the topic of a special operation, that would be too amateurish. Any ideas of isolationism are used. This is what contradicts unity, the free world and democracy. This is a wave of dictatorial ideas, thinking and power, isolationism and nationalism that are spreading throughout the world. What is wrong with nationalism? It caused the First World War. Nationalism caused the Second World War. Yes, you can love your country, you can respect the laws of your country. But do you want to go back to the 19th or 20th century, thinking about isolationism and not helping to stop dictators around the world? Do you really think Putin is going to give up, that he's just going to say, "Okay, we're not doing too well on the battlefield, that's it, let's get it over with," he's never going to give up, in fact, he's going to redouble his efforts, but not on the battlefield, he doesn't need to, because he's already winning by sowing discord. He doesn't need to influence elections, change computers, use conspiracy theories. All any newscaster needs is to hack your mind. All they need is to tell you the talking points about why your country, wherever you live, should come first. A dictator is not going to tell you why the country's economy is in disrepair, why the big debt, the unfunded pension obligations, the central bank's printing money. As for the West, all a dictator is going to do is beat people in other countries into thinking, "Oh my God, we've got to take care of our own home first before we worry about other people." That is, the dictator will not talk directly about a special operation, he will say that the economy in Europe is faltering, it is about to collapse. In the West and in the US there is free trade, creativity, great minds, excellent technology, for Europe and the US now is the best time in which they live. And nevertheless, people will be made to worry, and some will buy into the propaganda, and there will be no turning back. Propaganda makes you believe that everything will collapse, that you need to wait for some Savior, a strong man who will come and restore order. If people start to believe this or think that they have had enough, then they are already finished, because the dictator's goal has been achieved. This goal is not to change some voting results or influence the system, the goal is to hack people's brains. And this is exactly the Soviet way, this is the Russian style. The inspirers of artificial intelligence propaganda achieve all the best not in the field, but in the field of computer technology. The amount of money that is invested in propaganda, and in particular in AI propaganda, is incredible. Countries that are affected by the propaganda of Russian AI bots are returning to populist isolationist policies. Any democracy, like in Ukraine and especially now in Ukraine, needs the support of other democracies. A dictatorship can do whatever it wants and not be accountable to anyone, so democracies are fragile, they need the support of the people. The economy in the US and Europe is getting better, unemployment in the US is 3.8%, incomes are almost $ 75,000 per year, the poor in America live better than the kings and queens of the last century, there is no stratification and the economy is flourishing. The happiness of Americans and Europeans is not determined by some aggregate GDP or aggregated time series data, happiness is determined by the inhabitants of civilized countries themselves. And everyone who wants freedom, who wants democracy must not allow the invisible influence of propaganda to affect themselves. The economy in the US and Europe is fine. Putin and the dictatorship of Moscow, the work of artificial intelligence and patriotic Z-bloggers - the entire choir of propaganda is trying to influence what is happening around the world in terms of thinking and the collective unconscious, creating a certain stream of consciousness, as the dictator from Russia needs. And the only algorithm is resistance, something that can weaken the power of propaganda and the strength of the dictator. What do you choose? The dictator's propaganda? Or free democracy?

We are the foundation of society
As for propaganda, trolls, bots, it's simple: the trolls' job is to throw in a bunch of versions, distract attention, sow doubts. For example, this is the scheme worked out on the downed Boeing: Voloshin, Carlos, stale corpses, the wrong missile... Until February 2024, 2022, any fakes were actively discussed in the media, then through foreign marginals on the Kremlin's payroll, then again through domestic media with reference to these marginals, but already under loud headlines "in Germany they doubted...", "in the USA they said...", "In Italy, deputies criticized...". But after the open confrontation with the West, propaganda lost its influence on external goals and focused on internal ones. The task is essentially the same - to prevent public opinion from consolidating with condemnation of aggressive military actions and crimes, to switch indignation to the injured party, to form a negative image of the victim in order to justify violence. If we select analogies, then before it was important to watch the magician's hands, but now instead of a magician there is a thimblerigger, and there is no point in watching his hands, and even more so to play with him, or to seriously begin to study information in search of backpacks, women or stale corpses.
I recommend the Botnadzor Project

"The Internet Research Agency" is a troll factory. The company is located in St. Petersburg, founded and until recently owned by Prigozhin's Wagner Group. Their influence is enormous, destructive and should cause serious concern.
Yuri Bezmenov, a defector from the KGB, a specialist in Soviet propaganda, disinformation and subversion, he spoke about ideological subversion, he spoke about how Moscow uses propaganda to overthrow a nation. I recommend you read - Bezmenov Yuri Alexandrovich, also known as Thomas David Schuman.
Russia uses Bezmenov's "model of Soviet subversion". Moscow is a master of using propaganda to overthrow nations. After all, why win by force if you can subconsciously control the population. Few people know about this.
Russia does not need to defeat Europe and the United States in any way, but it needs to convince the democratic countries of the world to isolate themselves.
