Food banks and the real attitude towards the common man in the USA

I'll answer right away - the staples are past, they are amazing. The country really cares about people. "We don't abandon our own people" - this should be exactly the same as in the USA. While propagandists are going out of their way to tell the paper-bearers how "The West is rotting," at that time, virtually the entire US social policy can discredit the Russian government, and easily ruins all the efforts of propagandists. For Russians, it will never occur to them that such behavior of the state, people and citizens, as in the United States, is the NORM.

For example, when there was covid, Americans were given free food rations. They were big baskets. In Russia, the last money was siphoned off in the form of fines. In the USA, they also paid from a thousand to 3 thousand dollars. In covid, everyone was repeatedly paid $1,000 in aid. All covid tests were free of charge. What is the difference between Russia and the USA? Decentralization of power. This means that all politics does not depend on Trump or any other president. The power is divided so that it cannot be seized by one person. For example, the police sheriff does not report to the president and so on. Whether there will be Trump or not, institutions work without him...

I want to tell you about Food banks (food banks) or that it is impossible to starve to death in America.

You know, I've noticed that many people are like vampires on garlic as soon as they hear something good about America. I tell them about my personal experience, and they present me with events from some time ago, with the claim that I should clarify something about this. Immigrants from the USSR and the Russian Federation have been so stuffed with this propaganda since childhood that they cannot perceive information about the United States normally. From the moment they were born, they listened from every iron that America is the world's main villain and now they themselves do not understand why they think so, it seems to them that they are objective.… I myself was filled with many stereotypical beliefs about America, and therefore, it scared me, did not attract me, and I did not expect that I would ever find myself here.
So about Food Banks, these are such organizations, often private, often attached to churches, there are with state funding, in short, there are a lot of them, in almost all districts, and they are engaged in charity. How does it work? You choose any food bank you want, there are no links by area or any other attribute, you go there. They tell you what documents you need to receive assistance, it can be different documents in different Food Banks, such as an ID card (this is a type of passport) or a passport, or a license, in short, an identity document, a statement that you want to receive products and possibly a lease agreement (it is instead of a residence permit). you also specify the number of family members and children (the more of them, the larger the volume of products, and if there are children, then products for children are included). There is no need for any confirmation or information that you need! If you have come, then you need help! Even if you arrive in a cool car, by the way, there is a queue of cars, no one will argue that you don't need it. They will give you food even if you come without documents, but next time you will have to go to the office again and say that there are no documents and they will give you these products again, but each time it is not convenient to walk like that. It's easier to bring everything at once, they'll give you a special pass, which you put on the windshield of the car and you'll drive in freely, receiving a box of groceries that will be loaded into the trunk or wherever you specify, you don't even have to get out of the car.

Last year we used a Food Bank, at first we were "trapped", sorry for the jargon, but that's exactly how we felt. It's a shame to come and ask, are we beggars?… But our whole environment uses Food Banks and we decided to try it. It's an unforgettable experience, it's a shock that it can be like this, and it's my great gratitude to this country. You receive these products and you are treated like a dear customer, not like a beggar. Plus, you can get first aid there (not urgent, in the sense that it's not an emergency), medicines, make an appointment with a free dentist, get a free covid test (well, it's not very relevant right now). And also for some holiday, special products are given. For example, if it's Thanksgiving or Christmas, then everyone gets a giant turkey, and for Halloween-a collection of pumpkins and special pies, gifts for children. For Christmas, my youngest got a Barbie, a bunch of games. A card came in the mail with $250 for any food except alcohol, and you could buy it at any grocery store. When it came to school, we were given a special voucher for the fair, where we chose a backpack, clothes for school, school supplies, and a $40 voucher to a good shoe store (we had enough for 2 pairs, no matter what kind of Adidas and Ribuk it was). Everything is free, and you choose according to your taste. Our pass ended in January of this year, and you won't believe it, we got so drunk that we don't want to drive anymore, we're too lazy... (don't hate me).

What products do they give? I went to see what pictures I had left, but I didn't find much.… So: either rice or beans, or cereals, or pasta, a lot of bread, various rolls, always different, a lot of fruits and vegetables. Thanks to this, we've tried a bunch of fruits and vegetables that we wouldn't have bought ourselves because we just don't know what they are. Then, there are a lot of different conservation, which was also tried. Definitely eggs, something meaty, sweets: it can be a cake or cupcakes, or cookies, and often different things together and dairy products, yoghurts. Sometimes they put things in such a way that we couldn't understand what they were, often ready-made dishes from cooking. Once we were given a huge chocolate cake, like a snickers to taste, which we ate for 2 weeks, and we threw it away. That's why people are recovering here.…

Where do these products come from? It is a great honor to do charity and volunteering here. Many large grocery companies simply donate these products and merchandise. Many rich and famous people regularly donate funds for such social assistance. A large number of people serve as volunteers.

That's America! This is another fact in the piggy bank. Hate it further, or at least try to learn about this country not from propaganda reports.
I judge a country by how people, the government, and officials treat the common man, the needy, the sick, the disabled, children, the elderly, and immigrants.…
