During the Russian philosophy course, I didn’t understand why people expose their complexes and envy in words and texts, writing so many pages about the “defectiveness” of the West.
They would comment on Ibn Sina, Confucius, Lao Tzu, the Rig Veda, African and Latin American philosophies.
But no, the satanic “West” haunted Russian philosophers. (Why “Russian” and not “Russian”?).
It was as if they themselves did not believe in the correctness of the “Russian” idea, that they had to write hundreds of texts repeating the same thought.
Poor fellows, Russia has so many enemies: all other branches of Christianity, and science, and common sense.
But the worst thing is that I once imagined that if I recount Russian philosophy in English to a historian, philosopher, and humanist in England, I would say that he lives incorrectly, is “rotting,” that I condemn him, that Russia has a “special path.” , it is the most spiritual and correct country... (pure fascism).
I think that at the end of my speech, he will beg not to cut/blow him up.
I realized in horror how close Russian religious philosophy is to radical Islam and their war with the “infidels,” how it dehumanizes “Western people,” giving rise to hatred.
Another similarity between Muslim fundamentalism and Russian philosophy is the rejection of evolution and natural sciences, and an anti-scientific orientation in general.
Given that Russia takes full advantage of the achievements of Western science, technology, and medicine, this looks strange.
