There is a site out there called Netlify that will host your static web site for free, and deploys in seconds. It also will connect to a github. It works very well and is very easy to setup and use. I have used it alot and I do recommend it. There are plenty of free SSL certificate websites out there that you can use to make sure Google Chome doesn't complain about your site.
