Today, June 10th 2020 is a very important day in my life. It's been a year since I stopped smoking and I can only say that it was the right decision of my life.
How it all began
This is my third time I tried to quit smoking, and as they say, "third time is it"!
1º - In the first attempt to quit smoking, it lasted 6 months. I had some very stressful moments in my life and went back to smoking as if I was going to solve something. Big mistake!!!
2º - In the second attempt, it has only lasted 3 months. I stopped smoking after the flu, as I couldn't smoke and it tasted very bad. However, over time with going out to bars, cafes etc... I gradually started to smoke again and fell into the mistake of smoking again.
3º - Last year, I got the flu again and I got the taste of cigarettes back to taste very bad, however I seriously thought about quitting smoking. However, I decided, this time I will stop smoking but now I will have to set goals to give me pleasure from not smoking. What were those objects?
Goals to quit smoking
- Sport: Do physical exercise to start feeling good physically.
- Psychology: Fight the urge to smoke and prove to myself that I am capable of winning this fight. Feeling strong psychologically.
- Investment: Half of the money I spent on tobacco was directed towards investing in cryptocurrencies!
- Savings: Save some of the money I spent on tobacco for my emergency fund.
