I see a lot of people writing about Brave, so I don't want to go on and on about it, because I assume most of you already know. This might seem silly, but I want to give away the 20 BAT that is sitting in my Brave browser wallet. Before you go clicking Like on this article for my incredible display of generosity (joking), let me explain why I would like to give it away.
Friends here at Publish0x have been kind to me the last few days, with readers leaving tips on my articles, so I was thinking this would be one way I could repay the kindness. I can't keep the 20 BAT tokens for myself, so I'd like to just give it away to new friends here.
If you've spent more than 5 minutes here, then I assume you most LIKELY already have the Brave browser. You already know it's a great way to browse the internet and earn a bit of free crypto (BAT tokens) by opting in to the Brave Rewards. And you also might know that Brave gives away grants of 20 BAT to people who install the browser. (I don't know if this free 20 BAT is given out to everyone, I got it when I installed it on my phone, but not on my desktop or laptop--I think it's offered to new people who install it on iPhone or Android.) Blah blah blah...
Now, anyways, here is what I found out:
The BAT grants that Brave gives you for trying out the browser, are not really supposed to be paid out to yourself. I believe it's meant as a way to give you a bit to get started with so you can tip your favorite content creators. The BAT tokens you make from view ads, you CAN withdraw to your Uphold wallet... That is fine. But tipping YOURSELF from the original 20 BAT that they started you out with, is against the rules.
So most of my BAT tokens from viewing ads, I will probably transfer to the wallet each month on the 5th day of the month. This is fine, it's even encouraged. But I still have another 20 BAT sitting here that I am not allowed to pay to myself, so I was trying to figure out who to give them to.
I COULD send it as tips to my favorite Brave Creators, people I watch on Youtube, Bitchute, Twitter, etc... BUT I think most of those people already have plenty of crypto. So I'd rather give it to someone who is possibly just starting out, or might have more need of it.
So here's what I'm thinking. If you have Brave, and have already registered as a Brave Creator, then let me know in the comments. If you have a Youtube channel, or a Twitter account, let me know what it is so I can tip you. Or if you are just starting out in crypto, and would like some free BAT tokens, then get the Brave browser, set your Twitter account up as a Creator, and drop a comment so I can follow and tip.
