So did anyone else see that shitshow of a UasS presidential debate? Though I am going to do it begrudgingly, I am going to vote for Biden. I encourage you to do the same if you have the right to do so. The 'presidential' debate was supposed to be 90 minutes, but it was longer. I don't know how much longer because, in a moment of personal growth, I just walked away from it. We had already kept my baby girl awake 30 minutes past her bedtime, so it was time to read a story and go to bed. I didn't watch the rest of the debate later and I am not going to watch the rest of it. It doesn't matter. Now that I work 12-hour days, I don't get to see nearly as much of my daughter. She matters.
The western UaSsA is on fire and I have a feeling that's why the weather in the Midwest is so windy and abnormal too. I hope it doesn't pass the Rockies.
If you look at a map of the UaSsA, you'd probably notice that Illinois, despite being a part of the Midwest, is actually located in the Mideast of the country. I guess calling it that would be too confusing though, because then it would sound like that area of the world that we don't like so much.
For the record, I like most of the Middle-Eastern people that I know. It's sad though that a dangerous minority in those countries have never moved past the biblical days of mindless violence. They just have guns and explosives now, so shit. So much for the archaeology.
I am slowly chugging through the Bible and I really want to skip to Revelations, but I've been a good boy so far. I'm pretty close now anyway. It was really rough towards the end of the Old Testament. Really boring, but also really telling. I kept falling asleep after like two pages. Like, okay, I get it, God is angry at the Jews because they were bad. But in reading the Bible, you realize just how few of these redneck Trump voters have actually read their holy book that they say they are basing their vote on. If they had, they would probably know better. You'd expect that, at least. It's a really interesting story when you read between the lines. Of course, any of the actual cryptography that was written in is lost by now, at least in the translation I'm reading (NIV), but the character development of God and the prophets is interesting.
Smell ya later, I've got work tomorrow...
