Harperley POW Camp 93: Forgotten in Time

As an author sometimes I prefer to self-publish some of my books and offer them through Kindle, which my publisher doesn't always do. I love having that freedom of choice with my books. This is one of those books that I am now offering in Kindle version before I publish it in hard copy. Below is the back cover blurb of my book.

The Harperley POW camp is one of the few remaining intact WWII camps in the U.K. Unlike the concentration camps of the AXIS forces the, camps in the U.K. were not places of pain, torture and death. They were clean, well-provisioned, and operated like small villages within a village. Many prisoners did not wish to return home after the war ended, preferring instead to marry local women and raise families in the UK. As each remaining camp falls into total decay the history of these historic landmarks and the part the U.K. played at the end of WWII, is in danger of becoming lost and forgotten. The author includes the history of the camp, as well as actual interviews she conducted via phone and mail with a former German prisoner of the camp, who resides in Germany. As a bonus, the final chapter discusses the paranormal investigation her team conducted at Harperley, which at the time made them the first and only team granted permission to do an official investigation of a WWII POW camp in England.

This truly was a remarkable place to investigate and research. To think that for decades it was hidden under brambles and thorn bushes, waiting to be revealed after having been forgotten for so long!

For one week only I am offering this for .99! After that it goes back up to $2.99. Please note that this offer does not go into effect until FEBRUARY 26th! Sorry about that. I wanted it offered sooner, but those are the rules, LOL!

Pitfalls of Writing Non-Fiction

You would think that writing non-fiction would be fairly straight-forward. You research, compile, write, publish and go on your happy way to start your next project. Right? Well, not always. Sometimes, no matter how factual or precise you are, there are always angry villagers ready with the pitchforks.
