This update to the post series includes 5 of his driver’s licenses from 1931 to1954. It amazes me, that these have been kept in such good condition considering the oldest being 90 years old this year!
I can barely take care of my plastic license let alone a little, unprotected piece of paper. I have a feeling, that if you walked in his house, everything had a place, and it was in it and if not always promptly returned. Just take a look at the cover photo for this series. Even his desk is organized and clean.
All of the items in this cool collection of history are in such good condition it makes me somewhat nervous being the one in its timeline now to be caring for them. One of the things I really wanted to do was to put together this digital “upgrade” to make sure that these photos and other bits of his life are preserved digitally forever. Enjoy!
This one from 1931 is 90 years old in 2021. It actually has more of a blue appearance than shown in the photo.
