Eating as many different types of plants in a week as I can

My second week of recording all the different types of plants I eat. I said that this week I was going to try and eat more plants and change up my diet a little bit. I still came through on this promise but the week was a bit busier than thought so did not eat as many different species as I thought I would.

There are some things that are just my regular diet I can’t live without. For example, coffee and tea are my standard drinks besides water. Nuts and fruit are also something I eat almost every day but I tried to include some different types I usually don’t have.

Total plant count: 42

For this week I was actually aiming for 50 different types of plants but as you can see I did not succeed. Soup was a big part of the challenge as it can contain a lot of different species of vegetables that are otherwise a bit more difficult to use in a meal. Tuesday I ate 2 different types of soup for lunch and therefore I had consumed 9 different types in one meal. Of course also fruits and nuts as snacks are again a big part as they are delicious to eat and I’m always craving some food, I’m always hungry and then can these kinds of snacks be a good alternative. Yet, I know that a lot of fruit types contain a large number of natural sugars and thus calories but still, it’s better than candy or something else like that. I included some types of fruit that otherwise would not be in my diet like persimmon, kiwifruit, and pear but it was a nice variation and loved it. Definitely, persimmon will become something I eat more often from now on. Also in drinks, there is an opportunity to add an additional plant, for example, Tuesday I added some lemon juice (and little fibers) to my tea. But also something like sage could be a nice addition to a tea or maybe just water.

Looking at the overview, there is some opportunity to include more types of plants for breakfast. I’m not a breakfast person and often just drink some tea or coffee together with a piece of fruit or sometimes a yogurt. I know breakfast is really important so I will try to eat more in the morning and try to include more plants. A nice yogurt with a bunch of seeds and berries could be something to increase the species of plants I eat in a great way.

Maybe I could interest some people with this post and hope not all of you are thinking why did I read something about a random persons diet HAHAHA lol.

I think I will keep recording this and posting about my plant-eating experiences lol. Next time it could be interesting to add an image of all the different plants to see the different colors of the plants and look for the color that I have to eat more of.

Bye-bye 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
