There Are Now Over 200 Bet Pools On The Cardnet Testelle Shelley (ADA)

A week after Cardano's friends and family ( ADA ) Shelley test network opened to all operators, IOHK reported that the number of bet pool networks had exceeded 200.

According to the company's weekly product update, this week should see the implementation of Shelley functionality in the Daedalus portfolio, as well as minor upgrades to KPIs and the overall network user experience.

Hundreds of new pools set up on the Shelley testnet

It seems like nothing but good news is coming out of IOHK, the company behind the Cardano blockchain . As Shelley, the era of staking networking, is thoroughly tested, the company's weekly product update continued the series of positive reviews and promising launches.

According to the latest update of the company, there has been an overwhelming response of participation that pool operators have joined the testnet after a small group of "pioneers" has traveled all network functions.

Four days after the start of the testnet, IOHK reported that there were nearly 200 stake pools running on the Shelley testnet. While some of the pioneers who have joined the network have set up more than one pool, the company said it still was a major achievement for the network:

"But seeing this number already testifies to the skill and commitment of the Cardano community and the experience we all gained from building the ITN earlier this year."

Cardano's latest product update keeps the good news coming

Charles Hoskinson, CEO IOHK, welcomed the new operators and that efforts were being made, stating that in August, hundreds of operators exploit the network. In a few years, he added, there will be thousands.

Hoskinson's optimistic attitude towards Cardano is not without foundation either: the development team has produced major updates in the past week and has set a pretty busy schedule for the coming weeks.

Most of the development efforts over the past week have been focused on exiting the portfolio, scheduled for next week. The back-end team of the portfolio has implemented a set of functionalities which, in the long term, will enable the Shelley functionality in the Daedalus portfolio. Next week, a portfolio of tests will be released on pioneer pools for backend integration testing, said IOHK.

Once the pioneers have tested features such as creating portfolios and funding engagement addresses, other ADA holders can try the portfolio. Although the company plans to start slowly, it said that the user interface features for Shelley could be implemented sooner than expected. Aside from the wallet, minor updates to the Node CLI and cardano -db-sync have been made.

Next week will mark the start of a migration to a test network that everyone can get involved in, said IOHK in the product update.
