-  The last testnet (Goerli) of Ethereum before the Merge officially goes into Proof-of-Stake. Next in september 15, 2022  : the transition from PoW to PoS i.e the Merge of the Ethereum network will reduce electricity consumption by around 99.5%, so electricity consumption will drop from 85.65 TWh/year, i.e. the consumption of a country like Finland or Belgium, to around 0.45 TWh/year. Next in the end : the ETH2.0 network will be able to support 100,000 transactions per second, currently ETH is around 15 transactions per second.
