- After a wait of 9 weeks BTC has again crossed $19,000 and according to data from Glassnode, miners have stopped selling their stored BTC.

- 14 years ago, Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of Bitcoin, announced the limit of 21 million Bitcoins.

- It's confirmed, the next Shanghai update that will be live on the mainnet in March will allow users to withdraw their staked ETH.

- OpenSea announces support for Arbitrum Nova. Nova can be used as a cheaper alternative to Ethereum when buying or selling NFT.

- Layer 2 (L2) Optimism and Arbitrum have overtaken Ethereum in transaction volume.

- Avalanche and Amazon Web Services have partnered to provide blockchain solutions for businesses and governments.

- A McKinsey analysis reports that the metaverse could produce $5 trillion in value by 2030.

- Coinbase and Crypto .com plans to lay off  20% of its workforce.

- Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said the exchange plans to increase headcount by 15% to 30% in 2023. By the way Binance has received regulatory approval from the Swedish financial regulator.

- Financial Secretary Says Hong Kong Welcomes Crypto Businesses Worldwide. Samsung's investment arm launched its Bitcoin ETF in Hong Kong under the symbol "FA SAMSUNG BTC".

- The Dubai Free Zone is now home to more than 500 cryptocurrency start-ups.
