WALMART Joins Hyperledger (Blockchain Conglomeration)!!!

Do You ever hear about Walmart?

Well it is a stupid question -Walmart is the world's largest company by revenue, with 514.405 billion USD, according to the Fortune Global 500 list in 2019.

And do You hear about Hyperledger?

Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration including leaders in finance, banking, healthcare, supply chains, manufacturing and technology. Hyperledger hosts many enterprise blockchain technology projects including distributed ledger frameworks, smart contract engines, client libraries, graphical interfaces, utility libraries and sample applications. All Hyperledger code is built publicly and available under the Apache license.

So as it was announced on March 3 at the Hyperledger Global Forum 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona - Walmart is one of the few new companies that joins to Hyperledger.



Vice president of Walmart Global Tech (Sanjay Radhakrishnan) seems to be really excitement by joining the Hyperledger platform. He said:

“Walmart is excited to participate in Open Source communities, coming together to create scalable and adaptable technology,(..) We’ve seen strong results through our various deployments of blockchain, and believe staying involved in open source communities will further transform the future of our business.”

For sure such information like that shows that blockchain technology will have a mass adoption in near future!

Also that a giant companies believe in that technology!
