Badly broken beyond words and repairs it seems
Left at the mercy of others and ridiculed too
You've found love with the wrong set of people
You questioned yourself because your heart can't be relied upon
Why would your heart always lead you to those who'd break it, you asked?
Why won't your heart know those who are real and those who aren't, you questioned?
You've been badly beaten to a pulp with your emotions unable to rise
You are not willing to give in to love again, no matter the price
What's more? Your heart failed you even since it's your greatest prize
You've come to accept heartbreak like Nigerians have no choice with Rice
You don't want to think far ahead because there is nothing inspiring
Everything looks bright but with burnt dreams and heartbreaks
This wasn't the life you dreamed of while growing up
You wished you'd get rich and be in love but you are not even close
Fake it till you make it? You are not even close with your striking pose
You lost hope in love, even if they splash you with it like a water hose
Oh! You wish you can detect those heartbreakers from afar with your nose
At least your heart failed, you hoped your nose wouldn't
There is still that faint hope that love can reignite in your heart
But how do you know who is who, with all the people here on earth?
Love didn't hurt you, insensitive humans did
It's hard to look far ahead when uncertainty looms in the air
It's not easy to find love, not as easy as finding your slipper's pair
You always mutter this underneath your breath
Love will find you again just when you are not looking
Maybe we meet a few bad people in life
So when we meet the good ones we can appreciate them
All you've gone through are experiences that led you here
You will heal, so don't force the process
Only this way can you attain that success
Take time to work on yourself, see it as a recess
But never forget that the best and sweetest of things attracts
A lot of people will come along the way to confuse you
Still, watch their content before feeding your soul with it
It's just a phase, don't make a permanent decision over a temporary situation
Love will find you yet again and it would feel like summertime
Take your time as you go through your healing process
