In the past month and a half I've noticed a large range of topics that get posted to Publish0x. Topics that range from cooking and motivation to COVID-19 and dog breeds. And obviously the posts that tend to do best are the ones about Cryptocurrency or you (a Publish0x user). There's two reasons for that, #1 we all came to to this site because we like Crypto and #2 we all like to read about ourselves (or at least I do). 

Well if that's the case then, shouldn't the only topics on this site be about a Publish0x user or Cryptocurrency? Well, maybe. One thing an author friend of mine told me is the types of articles that do best anywhere - not just here -  are ones that have a unique writing style (aka YOUR writing style, not someone else's) or have some unique information for the reader. Here are a few of things I've noticed that make a good Publish0x post topic.

What's your goal? 

Before you start to write it's important to know what you're trying to accomplish. It's extremely easy to lose motivation when doing anything if you don't know why you're doing it. Writing without a goal is like playing basketball without a hoop, just useless activity.

Is your goal to setup your financial freedom and independence like a Scott Cunningham? Is your goal to write about something your passionate about? Or is your goal just to gain some referrals to your favorite faucet site? There's nothing wrong with any of those goals as long as you're moved by it.

My personal goal with writing was to prove I can write, everyone in my life told me I sucked because I don't know what a run on sentence is. Well I still don't but I don't care now. If you don't have a goal you will quickly fall off the wagon and end up dreading having to write any article.

What are you interested in?

This is something I've started to learn the hard way. Unless you're a world class author most people can tell when you don't really care about what you're writing. The more interested I've been in a post the better it's done. I think that's true for most people as well. 

With that being said writing about anything won't guarantee you success. There's still an element of knowing your audience here. If you come to this site writing about cupcakes and fairies don't expect anyone to read it unless they are crypto cupcakes or fairies. 

Your Writing Style

Everyone has their own unique writing style. Which is why, most of the time, when people have spun (stolen) content it sounds awkward. People can tell it's not them writing. Your writing style is how you speak, it's how you think. I like to think of my writing style as just me having a conversation with a friend then typing the words as they come out. There's also an element of editing here, if I just wrote every word I thought of when talking to a friend this post would be about three times longer and a million times more boring.

But people want to read your perspective. People love to hear unique voices in writing instead of the same old robotic voice.

The Trending Page

Should I write about what's on the trending page? No, in my opinion there's already thousands of articles about what's on the trending page. Unless you're the first to the scene it will likely get buried. The easiest thing to write about is something different. Which is easy to say but the types of posts that make it to the trending page here I've noticed are the ones that seem to have an answer for what I was thinking about while reading a different post earlier. 

One thing I've noticed about Publish0x is that if there's a lot of articles about a certain Cryptocurrency generally the next day there's several articles about how to use that Crypto or Stake it. Then the following days there's articles on price predictions and people's opinion of where the Crypto is going. 

An example of this would be Loopring (LRC). For a couple of days the only thing on the front page were articles about Loopring and what it is. After that the only articles were, how to stake LRC, how to trade LRC, how to withdraw LRC, etc. Then what people's opinions are and price predictions. 

Closing Thoughts

If you have a question on what to write about, first ask yourself what your goals are. Then what you're passionate about, then how can I best communicate this with my personality. Once you do all three of those you more than likely have a great outline and will write a hit post here on Publish0x. Or you may not, worst case is you figured out what didn't work. That's the beauty of this platform - If you fail, oh well, try again and try to think why it didn't work next time. I'm also by no means an expert, these are just a few of the things I've noticed on this site.
