Coronavirus: Who are the winners? Where to invest?

By bot news | Notices around the wold | 14 Mar 2020

As we see every day, companies from all sectors are losing due to the steep drop in shares and the drop in consumption at the global level. If we add to this the number of people who cannot go to their jobs, the storm is perfect.

But there are still companies that are making a lot of money thanks to the coronavirus, here are some of them:

Pharmaceuticals (Glaxo, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Gilead, Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson)

All of these pharmaceutical companies are making progress in developing both a coronavirus and antiviral vaccine. As soon as any of them has news about their vaccine prototypes, their actions will almost certainly skyrocket.

This is a link of a report of the current status of each company vaccine research: here

Manufacturers of medical supplies (Top Globe, 3M, etc.)

Top Globe is the largest manufacturer of medical gloves and 3M manufactures face masks that are effective against the virus. Their sales have soared to exorbitant points.

eLearning Platforms (K12, Blackboard, Edmodo, etc)

Online learning platforms are receiving an unusual number of subscriptions and that number is expected to grow exponentially as classes are suspended worldwide.

Video conferencing platforms (Zoom, GotoMeeting, UberConference, Skype)

Remote work is the big winner of this pandemic and video conferencing companies are seeing their traffic increase significantly.

Entertainment Platforms (Netflix, Zulu, Amazon Video, Disney +)

Nothing better to cope with quarantine than online TV series and movies. The number of subscribers on these platforms continues to rise.

If you know of any other industry that is winning with the pandemic please comment below and please do not forget the tip;)
