Clickworker – A Review After One Year of Use

Disclaimer: This review is based solely on my personal experience using the platform.

Clickworker is a crowdsourcing or micro-task platform based in Germany, with additional offices in the USA.
The tasks offered are varied and less mundane—or simply different—than those found on other sites; I’d call it an unexpected surprise:

- AI training: this is the real highlight that pays very well; tasks might include text correction, image description, recording short voice samples to help the AI learn, or listening to audio to judge which synthetic voice has the best pronunciation

- Market research, such as surveys or app testing

- Playing games

- Data entry, categorization and UHRS : I won't comment on these, as I've rarely done this type of job by choice (I simply don't like them)

Naturally, there is no fixed contract or set schedule to follow.
You get paid after completing a task and once the platform has verified that the work was done correctly (usually taking a few weeks, or less than a month).

Let’s look at the details.

As mentioned, AI training is the platform's standout feature.
In recent months, various audio listening and evaluation tasks have been—and continue to be—released; they pay very well while requiring little time or effort.
The jobs usually involve comparing two voices—either similar or completely different—reading a short text lasting less than two minutes. You listen and vote for the best one (the most natural, human-sounding pronunciation).
These jobs pay between €0.40 and €4.37.

These jobs, combined with the standard survey and gaming tasks I tried, allowed me to earn approximately €700 over seven months—an average of €100 per month (rounded figures). Assuming an actual work time of one hour per day—often split into two or three sessions of 15 to 30 minutes each:

As always, you won't get rich, and you can't quit your job to do this exclusively—especially since these tasks appear unpredictably, and there is no way to know how often they will come up in the future.
However, as far as I’m concerned, it is the most profitable microtask platform I use, and I recommend it to everyone.

To wrap up, the platform issues payments automatically once a week. Funds can be received via PayPal or bank transfer (the lower fee option that I recommend, in Italy it costs just 0,18€ per transfer).
