Welcome to the mouth of the Powell. It's created by the Powell River that cannot break through the beach to get to the ocean and instead creates a fresh water pool... with sand dunes! Occasionally a big storm will break through but the sand soon pulls up and blocks the river. Lovely place for a swim and if you want some ocean waves, just hope over the sand dunes!
