WORLD JUNIOR (UNDER-20) OPEN CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP-2019

Yesterday finished at New Delhi (India) the world junior chess championships.

At open versions (it is known and as boys versions, becauce girls prefer to play at girl''s versions) the solo winner

was Shtembuliak Evgeny (GM) with fide rating 2577 from Ukraine with the score of 9/11 and performance 2752 !!

The top seed (at starting rank) Tabatabaei M.Amin (GM) 2642 disappointed with his performance and gave up the tourney at 9th round with 5/9.

At girls version the winner was the 4th seed Shuvalova Polina (WIM) from Russia 2412 fide rating with score 9.5/11 !!!! and performance 2559. Again the top seed girl Zhu Jiner (WIM) 2507 fide rating disappointed with 6/11 loosing 39 rating points.

Congratulations to the new world champions. I will inform you about the European Chess Championship that take place this period, when in finish.
