The following post contains my own methodology for profiting on an NFT markets uncertainty, anyone following my NFT write ups knows my track record is fairly good when determining an NFTs future value. Nothing in this world is certain but companies tend to ensure their WAX NFTs dont devalue forever only temporarily if the company is large enough.

KOGs recently launched Gen 3 Packs there is reason for me to suspect that they will soon launch another wave of packs, but their colection completion or blend use case/staking (Tubes) has yet to be announced or accessible with the newest colection.

So in todays write up ill explain why the market is panicking why the KOGs NFT gen 3 colection is short selling for the next month or so.

Disclaimer

The Following write up references an opinion and is for information purposes only. It is not intended to be investment advice. Seek a duly licensed professional for investment advice.

Hive users advantage

Hive-Engine, Leodex, and Tribaldex have all recntly added the token swap WAX to their tokens list this can be treated just like normal WAXP. In other words you can trade over from Hive or Leo and withdraw to your WAX wallet account. Accomplished by charging a small % of the withdrawn funds a negligible amount when you consider that Kucoin for instance charges 10 WAXP or more to withdraw WAXP funds.

So though there are other methods for getting WAXP Hive exchanges for me are currently the best for trading into WAXP.

Due to this as a Hive user with even say 1 HBD poses a considerable advantage over WAX users without Hive at their disposal.

In addition to the advantage Hive gives you WAXP is currently lower then the previous shelf before the market crash was roughly $0.15 USD. Even if the market price of WAXP goes back down again if immediately traded into a NFT colection people are short selling like KOGs gen 3. You simply sell the NFT for more WAX then you bought it with. THE USD price of these NFT assets tends to be a consistent so even if the market crashes that can be a good thing & that's if you chose to sell in the short term.

Short selling I'm buying

While I cant say every WAX NFT colection is a good idea to do this with many crash for a good reason. However occasionally I come across NFT collections I'm confident will increase from the current price brought about by uncertainty.

KOGs gen 3 is a NFT colection doing just that right now, though yes getting NFTs before the WAXP price hits $0.15 or more can be a little risky, but that depends on a number of factors.

Since NFT sales are typically handled on a P2P peer 2 peer market the value is determined by a subjective opinion of the market as a whole. Given the recent market dip that happened to most crypto across the board many investors in the NFT market see the price of WAXP climbing and are freaking out.
image.png

Due to the Fear Of Missing Out or FOMO many investors on a subjective market like the NFT market dont want to miss the current or future price they consider high. KOGs gen 3 Having just launched has none of its usual use cases active so those with them tend to panic & short sell like what's happening now.

Anyone that sees this trend and knows the NFT colection KOGs & its wide variety of uses has the opportunity to profit if they keep calm about the situation.

You may get stuck holding the NFTs bought for months but eventually the secondary use cases and staking will begin. Honestly worse case scenario is the market price of WAX increases quick enough to cause the price to drop lower before the Colection completion and Staking features start.

This is why I tend to invest like this gradually getting a feel for the WAX market price If WAX prices drop in the short term that's a good thing it increases the possible revenue from each asset sold. When the market dipped I made a killing on Splinterlands assets on WAX for this reason.

So as long as the market price of WAX is going up I'm buying KOGs not by the pack but individually. Even if the market doubles the current price of WAX KOGs launching the colection completion and staking use case it will still cause the KOGs Gen 3 Price to spike. Believe it or not but the market crashing can be a good thing to those selling NFTs so the WAX price increasing rapidly would be the worse case scenario.

I did a little more research since the KOGs unboxing write up I did a few days ago & though I had suspected as much I wasn't sure at the time of writing weather the KOGs site crypto RFOX has become an asset based on BSC instead of ETH. This is great news though GAS fees on ETH have been lower lately its still not a blockchain I feel comfortable investing in as my assets on ETH basically have been unavailable until recently.

The fact that RFOX is a BSC asset now means there is a good reason to bother with Staking KOGs Tubes. This is a form of staking unique to KOGs in which a specified colection is converted back to a singular NFT like putting them back into a pack. This Tube may be staked on the KOGs site for RFOX staking rewards given that its now a BSC asset this will be worth trying this time around.

In addition to being able to stake to the KOGs site as a tube the other KOGs from previous collections one and 2 can be staked to Rplanet individually for AETHER.

My last success

Robotech has to be my latest success just look at this price difference
image.png
Though yes I bought when the market price of WAX was a little higher then right now its still a profitable purchase.
image.png
In the matter of 13 days that was cool but normally its a longer wait, I just happened to know they had to be doing something soon with Robotech NFTs as the company that owns the Robotech IP has a Comicon ama scheduled soon.

KOGs is a different story as its not a franchise and started as NFT colection that bein said they know how to play the market better then most because of this.

Another pack soon?

Its likely that the next move from KOGs will be not a burn/blend use case or staking but yet another pack that has yet to be made available from Gen 3. Called the Booster pack its currently unavailable.

This is why I'm buying the KOGs NFTs individually instead of packs while yes the market price on the most common assets will likely drop a little more. First remember this is temporary not permanent and second there is not much lower to fall on the uncommon KOGs gen 3 price from what I have observed with gen 2 KOGs.

Aiming for the middle is best in this situation as staking these will eventually pay more when announced making it less risky then the common KOGs. Ultra Rare may have tempting prices in the short term but this is a higher risk on the investors side so this should be avoided unless you plan on loosing it all together worse case scenario type thing like WAX completely crashing and not recovering.

No matter how certain I am I'm aware that it may all just disappear so I never invest anything that I cant afford to loose.

This is why I buy something people practically are giving away and play the waiting game.

Observation

Just watching a market long enough can help you get insight making predicting the impossibly complex easy. Its different for every market and every blockchain when talking about NFTs so I find its more advantageous to limit the scope of my efforts.

Tryin just to learn every form of crypto & their various proof of work mechanisms is a tall order so attempting to be omnipresent in every market is near impossible. I'm not saying no one can do this but I know my limitations and try my best to be realistic in my goals.

Focusing in on a finite level yields information lost on those that just dabble committing to a few markets can be a risk, but as I stated before yields valuable info I would normally have overlooked.

For instance checking an NFT colection regularly on WAX gave me the knowledge that Templates & schema additions to a colection beats any official announcement by days or even weeks.

All it takes is a little bit of info before the market becomes fully aware of what's happening to give you a massive advantage.

Dont misunderstand the profits can be insane but so an the losses if you risk to much, the markets subjective and people are Rather unpredictable in mass. So I have made a few bad calls this is why I'm cautious I aim for the most minimal risk for the highest likelihood of return not just the most potential profit that's a dangerous gamble.

The dollar value of the asset

When buying from a stable asset like USDT or Dai for example straight to WAXP you can view purchasing the NFT as if its a set price regardless of WAXP price at the time Anchor wallet is good to utilize this method of exchange using alcor.
https://wax.alcor.exchange/swap?output=WAXUSDT-eth.token&input=WAX-eosio.token

What I do is have 2 accounts one WAX cloud wallet as it works best with WAX dapps. I then use Anchor wallet to exchange my WAXP for USDT when the markets at a high or shelf. This was before Hive engine which has wrapped stable assets so I may use a similar tactic with Hive accounts wallet instead.

Trading back into WAX witch fluctuates before I intend to make purchases or EOS to cash out quickly to an exchange like Uphold or coinbase pro.

I always keep my Wallet With WAXP ready to buy something, think of utilizing stable coins as a shelter from market flux for the majority of your funds its just safer if you cant always check on the market like when your at work. It may take more effort but sometimes its worth the extra 20 min when you have the time to mess with it then loose half your funds on market volatility.

Cheat sheet

I can be rather long winded so incase my explanation on KOGs prices was to long winded Here are the KOGs Gen 3 NFT Prices I'm buying now.

Packs I know the price the company charged at launch for the packs
135.00 WAX($12.68) USD at the time of the sale for the booster pack
image.png
If this pack hits that price or below if you have the funds to invest get one as this would be cheaper then the initial sale.
image.png
Now for the 30 count pack Price:270.00 WAX($25.43) would not advise going above listing on prices on the packs as the 4th pack will launch eventually devaluing them.
image.png
Uncommon KOGs 3 WAX or less is good price point, avoid common unless under 1 WAX. Rare shown below should be 5 WAX or less if I'm purchasing it.
image.png
As for going beyond this rarity or the slammers these are more unpredictable so use your best judgement.
