Italian cryptocurrency platform Young Platform has revealed a partnership with MakerDAO on June 29. The partnership will focus on “comprehension and mass adoption of Defi”, with Young Platform educating the Italian market on the DAI stablecoin through its portals Young Academy and Stepdrop.

Available on Android and iOS, Stepdrop is an app which tracks the number of steps that users make everyday and converts it into cryptocurrency.  The team has said that it plans to integrate DAI into its platform, which would likely mean that users can convert fitness routines into dollar-pegged stablecoins. 

Launched by several individuals with experience in the Italian banking sector, Young Platform raised roughly $890,000 in September 2019. It raised an undisclosed amount in May 2020, and executive members noted an increase in users and trading volumes. The Young Platform launched its YNG token sale in the last week of June.

In addition to Stepdrop, the platform also features an educational portal call ed Young Academy and a trading platform for cryptocurrencies.
