DeFi on-ramp platform Dharma announced on November 2 that its US users can now purchase assets on Uniswap directly via their bank accounts.
- Users can buy up to $25,000 of any asset on Uniswap
- Users will only need to download the Dharma app and connect their bank account to start purchasing assets
- The feature is currently only available in 13 states in the US, with support for additional states planned
- The Dharma team cites the difficulty of using Uniswap for first time users as being the motivation to support direct purchases via bank accounts
- Co-founder and CEO of Dharma Nadav Hollander compared the Uniswap experience to trading Bitcoin (BTC) in 2011, and expects direct purchases to streamline the investment process
- Dharma has also been in the news for initiating Uniswap’s first governance proposal, which failed amid controversy
