Brian P. Brooks, the former US acting comptroller of the currency lands at Bitfury Group

WOW, Brian Brooks has landed over at Bitfury Group, the 10-year old Amsterdam based mining and Blockchain firm picked a winner!  I am not really a fan of most of the "job position announcements", however, this one caught my eye.

Why is Brian important to Bitfury?  First, Brian brings a bevy of US regulatory and capital market knowledge, which will be critical assisting Bitfury raising more money in the age of the SEC run by Gary G. Keep in mind a few weeks ago in Oct. '21 Bitfury announced it wants to IPO in the next 12-months (i.e. another way to raise capital) Brian can add his expertise to this IPO process too. Makes me wonder how Brian will enable Bitfury to utilize debt to grow too!   Additionally, Brian is a fan of peer-to-peer based economies which has seen exponential growth over the past 18-months across the globe.  Brian will work with Bitfury founder Valery Vavilov for next generation hardware and software offerings. I assume they will also work together on scaling Bitfury to take on more and more market share too. 

Not familiar with Bitfury Group? First stand-out in my mind is they are a non-Chinese Crypto mining firm (huge points already). Over the years they have morphed into a full service Crypto firm. Here are just some of the things Bitfury is heavily involved in:

• Hardware products:
  • high-performance computing needs,
  • Which include seven generations of its own specialized micro-chips as well as
• Self-mining operations that you can leverage up to Bitfury seven ultra-low-cost energy sites spread across globally
• US-based Cipher Mining subsidiary; designed to help strengthen BTC
• Next generation immersion cooling systems; which help bring down the costs of running data centers or Crypto mining operations.
• Software and enterprise blockchain solutions spanning security, payments, - all critical for wider adoption of Crypto
• and applications for the creator economy, (i.e. gig economy or incubator tools and services to drive innovation)

Summary - I was a fan of Brian when he was over at the office of comptroller of the currency and now I am beginning to understand more about Valery at Bitfury. Interesting times my friends, lots of cool stuff going on in the crypto sphere!
