My focus today goes to Jamie Dimon, CEO JPMorgan Chase. James Simon who celebrated his 67th birthday on 13th March this year, barely 3 days ago, has been the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of JPMorgan Chase since 2005. He terms himself as a 'major skeptic' of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin says The Fortune finance news.
My main focus on this Finance guru whose net worth is over $1.6 billion, keeps on scoffing at cryptocurrency and Decentralized Finance DeFi. While he should be treated with respect based on his experience in the financial business, a his Educational background and age factor, I am of the opinion his rhetorical are biased and unfounded. Jamie Dimon holds these Educational accolades Tufts University (BA)
Harvard University (MBA)
So he is an enigma when it comes to Educational matters. He also has vast experiences in financial matters, having worked in financial institutions for more than 20 years. The age factor is another aspect to be considered.
On September 12, 2017 7:39 PM EDT while being interviewed by Andrew Ross Sorkin of CNBC, Jamie Dimon termed Bitcoin as a 'Fraud' though he predicted it reaching $100 000, a figure Bitcoin has never achieved in lifetime. Bitcoin highest price ever is 65,000 USD in November 2021. As this post is being written on March 16, 2023 , Bitcoin 24,514.
I quote the above to show the old time investor Jamie has been wrong on this. If not so, then the future is still to judge.
On September 22, Jamie Dimon comes up with another name calling. Jamie Dimon now calls crypto 'Dangerous' and 'Decentralized ponzi scheme'. This is a very serious Allegations.
Jamie Dimon calls ‘dangerous’ crypto a ‘decentralized Ponzi scheme’ that’s not ‘good for anybody’
My one million dollar question is whether you agree with him or not.
