Yes, Pi Network has announced its open mainnet on 28th June 2023. This is one of the most awaited event with more than 40 million pioneers waiting for the launch. Pi Network has taken more than three years to reach this stage. This is a much expected event bearing in mind that one single pi is expected to exchange at a whooping $314,159 which even Bitcoin has failed to realize. $100,000 long time high has defeated the giant cryptocurrency to attain; will the small unknown pi network bypass this.
Pioneers will agree with me that KYC has been most people's nightmare. While the allocation of KYC has taken too long for many and is still a problem, many who have done it have taken such a long period to be validated. There are people who have gone for more than 2 years and still have not been validated. Passing kyc is also a problem. Is there something fishy in this network.
Pi Network is the only cryptocurrency that is being mined on the phone. Nicolas Kokkalis and another Stanford university guru teamed up to provide crypto to the masses. Pioneers mine pi for free but have to turn it on every 24 hours. They should also invite referrals and earn fr them too. Yet pi network has taken too long to realize it's dream.
There closed mainnet took place sometime before and people have been doing purchases using pi but in-between pioneers themselves. The value of pi depends from individual to individual as it goes with a consensus value. Goods have been exchanged using pi and there are many outlets allowing pi as a means of payment.
The core team, however, restricted the selling and exchange of pi till the launch of open mainnet. Some exchanges listed pi but the core team was quick to term the listing as illegal. Huobi exchange was one such exchange.
Now all the eyes of cryptocurrency world is focussed on 28thJune 2023 which is the date announced for pi open mainnet. Is this a reality or we are being taken on a ride?
