In the age when disruptive technologies are increasingly getting embedded into the framework of our reality, each day news headlines are packed with the announcements of recent breakthroughs made in the field. At the dawn of the decentralized era, one particularly hope-inspiring Edge Computing startup called StrongNode Edge signals the advent of the node economy, the one in which interconnectivity plays a formative role in the new model of interaction. As such, StrongNode Edge pursues the mission of developing solutions that actively take on and promulgate its trailblazing Web3 philosophy resting on the new vision of cloud connectivity. By focusing on creating a common-shared decentralized, interactive space, it arrived at a solution of blockchain-based infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) protocol which could give a vital impetus of transitioning towards the new vision of distributed economy inconceivable without cloud computing services.

Recently, the company made a push forward in the form of its first product release: powered by Edge Network, dVPN, a decentralized Virtual Private Network (VPN) is aimed to open the gates of decentralized access for Strong Node Edge users. They will take part in ‌obtaining SNE tokens through the endpoint verification process, later being able to leverage the asset to further unlock the VPN services. For StrongNode Edge, this service kick-starts the long sequence of Web3 applications on a track of continuous expansion as time goes by. Finally, the SNE token recently secured its spot on the MEXC exchange, the first centralized exchange to accept assets. The kick-off event will be accompanied by a trading competition, with the possibility of winning up to $40,000 in SNE tokens. The asset’s listing on MEXC is due to take place on March 14.

Being eager to learn more about the company’s power to impel the full-fledged Web 3.0 transition, as well as find out details of the upcoming launch, I reached out to the CEO of the project, Daniel Saito.

Could you please introduce and tell a few words about yourself?

Sure, I’m Daniel, CEO at StrongNode Edge. I’m a self-confessed blockchain and edge computing nerd. I’ve probably best known for leading the MySQL exit to Sun MicroSystems for $1B+ and developing the original node infrastructure at SEGA. StrongNode Edge is an evolution of that in many ways.

What is the mission guiding StrongNode Edge startup? And what are you aiming to achieve with this project?

Our goal is to create an alternative to the centralized and inefficient mesh of server warehouses and Web 2.0, dominated by the likes of AWS, and build an ecosystem on The Edge that is truly symbiotic, efficient and environmentally friendly.

StrongNode Edge celebrates the release of its first product, dVPN. Could you tell us the key characteristics of this forthcoming launch?

Certainly. We are really excited about the launch of dVPN, which is on track for Q2 of this year. It will be the first Web 3 product in the StrongNode Edge suite that will utilize the power of our network, allowing for a truly decentralized VPN service, seeded by our Node Seeders and utilized by our users. It is the beauty of blockchain & cryptocurrency that has allowed us to achieve this, as we are able to introduce the $SNE token to power the network and an ecosystem that both rewards Node Seeders and can be used for payment by users.

What lies at the heart of Edge Network architecture?

The awesome thing about Edge Networking is that it is essentially open-source. Anyone can stand on the shoulders of the giants who conceived the original technology and find ways to utilize it. Many of the world’s biggest names and companies are pursuing research and development in Edge Computing in one way or another. For us, the dawn of Web 3 and blockchain technology was the turning point, which enabled us to envisage a truly symbiotic ecosystem to power The Edge and reward its seeders in a sustainable way.

What is the role of SNE token within the ecosystem of StrongNode Edge services?

At the moment, the SNE token can be used on the Polygon (MATIC) blockchain, for DeFi staking and other various blockchain-specific applications. With the introduction of dVPN, SNE will have its first use case as both a reward token and a payment token at the heart of the StrongNode Edge ecosystem. As we continue to build out the suite of StrongNode Edge Web 3 applications, there will be more and more utility for the SNE token.

On a broader scale, what does MEXC listing of SNE token mean for StrongNode Edge?

It’s a bit of a milestone for us at StrongNode Edge. I know that these things can be quite important to people in the cryptocurrency community. We have been busy building out the core product at StrongNode, and wanted to make sure we had our first product release on the horizon before we attracted a lot of interest and awareness to StrongNode via CEX listings and the like. We can safely say that we are there, and have lined up no less than six CEX listings to take place over the next two months. Kicking off with our good friends at MEXC.

Please, tell us a bit more about expectations from the MEXC event dedicated to SNE listing.

We have arranged for a few things to increase awareness of StrongNode Edge and the SNE token as we list on MEXC, including a trading competition on the exchange with up to $40k worth of SNE tokens up for grabs, staking rewards for our early supporters, and a raft of marketing activities such as banners, announcements, PR and an AMA with the MEXC 100k strong community on Telegram.

Generally, how do you envisage the next turn in the development of Web3 solutions? What could be done to facilitate that trend?

For us a core pillar of Web 3 development is decentralization. Building out ecosystems that are symbiotic by nature, providing utility and reward to both the user and the supplier in equal measure. This is possible with blockchain and cryptocurrencies, and we are excited to be at the forefront of pushing the Web 3 message forward for the Edge Computing space.

What influence can StrongNode Edge exert on the field of cloud computing solutions?

If anything, the traditional cloud computing ecosystem will likely be threatened by what we are creating at StrongNode Edge, but the beauty of what we are creating is that it cannot be sabotaged. If people decide to become Node Seeders on our Edge Network, and businesses or individuals choose to make use of that computing power the seeders are providing, then it is an ecosystem that can flourish and grow, with almost unlimited scalability.

What lies next on StrongNode Edge's agenda?

As our early supporters and those following the project will know, we are still in the construction phase for StrongNode Edge, building out the critical infrastructure that will allow The Edge to operate effectively and efficiently. Our daily focus continues to be there, as well as supporting other projects in the StrongNode Edge ecosystem that will utilize the network and build The Edge network effect, such as Original Gamer Life - a gaming community and metaverse platform being built on The Edge and launching in Q2 of this year.
