Sassuolo is one of the biggest towns in the Province of Modena. It is the center of the industrial district for the production of ceramics tiles well known in Italy but also outside.
Sassuolo, in the past centuries, was also the seat of the summer residence of the Duke of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

On the south side, the ducal palace has a very large garden ...

... with many flowerbeds, trees, and walkways ...

When I passed, around two weeks ago, it was early in the morning, and the sky was crossed by fast clouds that darkened and illuminated it rapidly so one moment it was sunny and the other one was darker. The garden was closed at that moment, I think all day due to pandemic restrictions.

Outside the garden, there is a very very large park, with very high poplars ...

. and a very long avenue (more than 2 km) where the nobles used to take their carriage rides.

All the images were taken by me with the smartphone camera.
